The Curl AmbassadorsTM joined the Green Conversations and we have never looked back Among the first to partner with Green Circle Salons in 2010, this alliance gave us just one more reason to feel proud of what we do and how we are doing it differently.
Typically, over 20,000 tonnes of harmful waste from most salons goes into our landfills or water sources. We are committed to not being apart of that.
Our salons are re-cycling hair, plastic product bottles, foils, colour tubes and colour waste —In fact, our Curly hair remains have been turned into hair booms and hair mats, used to clean up oil spills from our oceans. It also has been used to fill milk bags and turned into pillows for third world countries who have experienced natural disasters. Our Customers match a very small contribution that we also make, towards an impactful difference to the environment and the future of our planet and it has been a rewarding experience for our own curl community that all that we collect is being used for such significant initiatives.
Above being included in their mission to make the North American salon industry sustainable by 2020, we also share the Green Circle Salon’s team philosophy, ” It’s not only about looking good and feeling good-it’s also about doing good”. Thank you to our customers and employees who share in this journey with us.

When we were growing up, Curly hair models were not in magazines, there were no “how to” articles about managing our Curly locks, nor was there a “home” for all of us who had natural Curly, Kinky or Wavy hair. Now, Curly girls have The Curl AmbassadorsTM, and there is not a day that that goes by in which we are not humbled by the acclaim that has been given to us over the years by such prestigious magazines, blogs, newspapers, and approving and valued customers. At the same time, we are also very proud that Curly hair is finally being embraced, that we have contributed and done our part to stirring the Curly hair revolution, beyond all borders and yes, we also understand that the reality is– there is still more to do In the interim, we take the time here to gratefully celebrate these accolades with all our fans.
